Hello my lovely readers!!! If you are curious. YES! I am still celebrating Oregon Craft Beer Month AND I am still cooking with the FABULOUS Widmer Brothers Beers! I am so inspired that my home is overflowing with baked goods! I had done 2 savory breads……it was time to take a step over to the sweet side of life…..
I loved making this bread. I just played with the standard bread to made it more breakfast-y! I added brown sugar, nuts, and glazed it over – what a fun recipe!
She’s a beauty, huh? She was gorgeous even before the glaze!!
Now…..for the recipe!
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (not instant)
- 1 bottle Widmer Brothers Drifter IPA
- 1/4 cup brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbs milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- This is SO easy....preheat oven to 350. Grease a bundt pan or loaf pan (9x5) Mix beer, brown sugar, oats, flour, and nuts! Pour into the pan and bake for 45 minutes. Allow to cool. When cool, mix powdered sugar, milk and vanilla with a whisk. Pour over top of entire loaf. Serve with a smile, and a beer-tastic attitude!
